Final Survey
A final survey is an as-built survey required by the Department of Building (DOB) as part of getting The Final Certificate of Occupancy (C/O) or closing out permits. The purpose of the Final Survey is to ensure that the building complies with the bulk regulations, does not encroach onto property lines, has proper grading at the sidewalk, has adequate storm drainage, has the required amount of street trees etc.

All applications for Certificates of Occupancy shall be submitted on forms furnished by the department. Each application shall be accompanied by an accurate and complete final survey map made by a licensed surveyor in compliance with city DOB requirements where the property is located. In addition, the survey shall also show the location and boundaries of the lot or plot upon which such buildings and structures are located.
