As-Built Survey
A survey is performed during or after construction or improvements by collecting measurements and plotting on a drawing prepared and sealed by a licensed land surveyor. The drawing indicates information such: as actual dimensions, elevations, and locations of any structures and their components, underground utilities, roads, swales, ditches, detention/retention facilities, sewers, BMPs, or other infrastructure and facilities after construction has been completed.

Banks and mortgage companies want a professional to certify that the house they are backing with a mortgage or construction loan is in the clear regarding zoning setbacks, building setbacks and existing easements.
